Our hard-working and esteemed President got himself all confused again. Hard-working in the sense that he has now played more golf than George W. Bush did during all 8 years and that he now also surpasses George W. Bush AND Bill Clinton COMBINED in terms of the number of fundraisers he has done this far into his FIRST term. And all of this as the vacation-obsessed first family prepares to embark on yet another 17 day vacation to Hawaii (or is it Asia?)
This time, he thought he was in Texas when he was actually in Kansas. Yes, it is a simple slip of the tongue. And if it only happened this one time, we'd let it go. But when he repeatedly has no idea about basic geography, you have to wonder if there's a problem. If Sarah Palin had made these repeated gaffes the media would be running 24 hour coverage of the event. Here's our befuddled president confusing Texas with Kansas:
Here's the "smartest president ever" according to one lunatic historian, confusing the number of states in our union:
Notice that Saul Alinsky's best disciple doesn't even pick up on the audience laughter at his gaffe and plows ahead with his idiocy.
During his nominating convention in 2008, Mr. Obama did a live feed video where he claimed to be in St. Louis just moments after correctly identifying himself as being in Kansas City. His video appears at the 20 minute mark. No need to suffer through Michelle Obama's speech. His gaffe claiming to be in St. Louis about a minute later. His daughters have to correct him. Awesome:
This gem from earlier this year shows Obama, who was at the time in Hawaii, claiming that he's in Asia. One would think given all of the scandal over his place of birth that he'd be careful to place Hawaii squarely in American territory:
Brighten someone's day and forward the link to this collection of Obama's greatest geography gaffes!
